SAT 1/17. 10am. Wake County "Yes We CANS!" Food Drive, part of
President-Elect Obama's National Service Day.
On SAT 1/10, volunteers distributed 450 bags to homes in the area, and now we need to collect the food donations. I f you are able to come and help pick up the food items from our neighborhood that would be awesome!
We are meeting at Gray and Michael McKay's home at 10am to start our pick up. Their address is 2932 Dahlgreen Rd. 27615 and their phone number is 844-5832. If you have some small boxes you could donate for the pick up that would be great! Also, if you have a larger vehicle (or a pick up

Orange-Durham-Chatham: National Popular Vote: Information Meeting.

Delegates at LWV Convention 2008 adopted a study of the feasibility of using the National Popular Vote (NPV) Compact among the states as a method for electing the president. This meeting will be in preparation for consensus on this subject at a March meeting. Two speakers, Rep.
Paul Luebke and Professor Mike Munger, will present the pros and cons of this method of electing the President.
