RALEIGH PUSHING WAKE UP WAKE COUNTY TRANSIT AGENDA?

Appears so. Why is Raleigh pushing an agenda that would require massive tax increases, unaffordable housing and a whole host of flawed social engineering policies? They made a mess just trying to regulate garbage disposals and we want these folks to rework the comprehensive plan and regulate people's transit patterns?

Wake Community asks the question: How many of these officials commute on a daily basis? How many of them carpool? We would love to know.

As a courtesy, watch the video for yourself.

IT'S A START....

In what is probably a shattered relationship between current "Super"intendent Del Burns and former "Super"intendent Bill McNeal, we suggest the following as a starting off point:

Dear Bill:

I'm sorry I ran your "Schools of Excellence" into the ground.

Sincerely,

Del

NOW ONLY 25% OF THE ORIGINAL PRICE

WORLD CLASS SCHOOLS? HECK, WE WOULD SETTLE FOR MEDIOCRE OR EVEN CRUMMY.

WRAL-TV reports tonight that less than 25% of Wake County schools met Federal No Child Left Behind standards. That's right, less than 25% met federal standards.

Want to see the results?

LOOK AT THE WONDERFUL JOB BUSING HAS DONE TO IMPROVE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.

CONGRATS DEL! WE'LL MAIL YOU A 25% CONGRATULATIONS CERTIFICATE SUITABLE FOR POSTING IN YOUR OFFICE.

Let's play an education quiz!

Del Burns will blame:

A. Ongoing mismanagement by Wake County School System administrators
B. George Bush
C. Greedy taxpayers
D. B & C

And what did our great education leader Del Burns have to say about the greedy taxpayers in Wake County and future school performance?:

"There will be changes," he said. "We won't be as effective at providing the current level of service."

Should we expect 15% or 10% next year then?

And Beverly Clark?:

Beverly Clark, vice chairwoman of the school board, called Cooke's proposal "disappointing" and said his figure was too low to build a "world-class" school system.

Bev - Even if we had given you the extra $55 million, what then? Only 60% of our schools failing instead of 75%?

Yes, once again it's our fault Del.

One last question Del: Can you let us know what you did with the extra $6 million you did not return to the county because of poor growth projections by your staff? I don't think we ever found the 2,290 students. Would an
Amber Alert be in order?

LEST MR. BURNS RECEIVE ALL THE PRAISE, MIGHT I RECOMMEND A BOOK? :

A SCHOOL DISTRICT'S JOURNEY TO EXCELLENCE

WE'LL MAKE SURE OXHOLM AND MCNEAL GET CERTIFICATES ALSO FOR THEIR ILLUSTRIOUS PERFORMANCE.
