250 CRIMES IN FIVE YEARS AND HOW DID OUR FORMER HUMAN RELATIONS DIRECTOR RESPOND

Cue the music.

Three violents deaths and hundreds of crimes over five years on a small strip of road known as Camden Street in Meeker's "benign neglect" area of downtown Raleigh. And how did former Human Relations Director Hardy Watkins respond in relation to these "humane relations?"

According to the News & Observer.

"Some have tried to improve conditions in the neighborhood before. In 2001, members of Revelation Baptist Church and their pastor, Hardy Watkins, cultivated a garden on an empty lot on Camden Street to give public housing residents a chance to grow and eat fresh vegetables. The garden is across the street from where Anthony Wright was shot."

This rivals the nonsense put on every year in the form of the Mayor's Unity Day.
