Andrew James Johnson, "AJ", 25, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2008. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Powhatan Free Will Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
AJ was a Raleigh Firefighter on Ladder 11 and a volunteer with Archers Lodge Fire Department where he held a title as Captain. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and be outdoors. AJ had a passion for firefighting and the brotherhood bond that comes along with it.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Melissa H. Johnson; parents, Terry and Tim Davis, MJ and Pam Johnson, Pauline and Mike Haislip; brothers and sisters, Clayton Johnson, Mackenzie Johnson, Hunter Davis, Dakotah Davis, and Amanda Haislip; aunt and uncle, Linda and Aubrey Bunn; aunt, Betty Johnson.AJ was preceded in death by grandparents, Marvin and Margaret Johnson, cousin, Blake Bunn and grandmother, Callie Davis.
The family will receive relatives and friends on 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at McLaurin Funeral Home.
