In email correspondence from December 2011, Kevin Hill blind carbon copied future Wake County Board of Education members Susan "the singing CPA" Evans, Christine Kushner and Jim "the Great Oz" Martin.
What's interesting is who he also blind carbon copied - the other Wake County Board of Education member and ex-officio chair of the Wake County Board of Education, Yevonne Brannon.

RANDOM CHAOS SAMPLING
Those who have not attended Wake County Board of Education meetings perhaps don't witness what amounts to a constant level of disruption and rude and belligerent chatter from the Great Schools (not students) in Wake leadership. The snapshots below feature what has become a perpetual ritual for the likes of Amy Lee and Yevonne Brannon. These clips come from a less than one hour time period at a recent Board of Education meeting. In recognition of her chaos creation activities, Keith Sutton recently appointed her to his Board Advisory Council.
If anyone has any footage of Kevin Hill reprimanding them as he has neighborhood school supporters, please send it our way. We cannot locate any.

GREAT SILENCE IN WAKE
When it comes to speaking out on a rushed assignment plan that the N&O describes as put together "quickly for next year" and is ...
not available yet for public review until November 13 and will have a final vote less than a month later on December 11, has no public hearings scheduled yet, and is subject to even further tweaks by Martin and Evans ...
GSIW is GREAT SILENCE IN WAKE.
When Tony Tata or neighborhood school supporters are not in charge, they stay silent. You won't hear them talk about transparency, a detailed financial analysis, a rushed process, public input, etc. because it was never about that. It was all about chaos creation, power and control. Prom Queen comments are horrendous, but Keith Sutton's "kick your a$$" or "shut the f@&% up" don't meet with the same concern.

BRANNON STILL DRUNK
So Yevonne Brannon, Chair of WakeUp Wake County's Board of Directors, suddenly got all righteous in the N&O today.
Let's review this new found righteousness exhibited by Mrs. Brannon as she recounted her tenure on the Wake County Board of Commissioners:
"We never experienced such lack of decorum ..."
"We all obeyed .... the unwritten rules of courtesy and integrity...."
"We are not serving our county when our excellent reputation is smeared weekly with political shenanigans that show little concern for our quality of life in Wake."
(News & Observer - December 10, 2009)
Gosh Yevonne, when did you have a reborn experience?
The highlight of your tenure on the Wake County Board of Commissioners was marked by your flippant disregard for taxpayers.
From the News & Observer:
The more the commissioners talked, the higher the proposed increase got. The figure reached 13 cents when Commissioner Betty Lou Ward was told that was roughly what corresponds to a $200 average tax-bill increase.
"Sold!" Brannon yelled as she leapt from her seat in a meeting room of Wake Forest University's Graylyn Conference Center. "Hey, you guys - the bar is open!"
(News & Observer - February 20, 1999)
Very impressive display of maturity there Mrs. Brannon.
Sober up Yevonne.

WAS THE BAR OPEN AFTER YEVONNE BRANNON'S ELECTION AS CHAIR OF WAKEUP WAKE COUNTY?

WakeUP Wake County just announced their leadership team for 2009 and lo and behold, who comes out on the top of the ticket as Chair but former County Commissioner Yevonne Brannon.
Those new to Wake County may not remember her, but those who have been around since the late 90s certainly do.
Brannon was clearly recognized as the most liberal member of the Wake County Commissioners - on a board that had six Democrats and just one Republican.
What citizens remember well and what cost her any credibility then and now was her infamous flippant disregard for the impact tax increases in the hundreds of dollars would have on Wake County families.
At a 1999 planning retreat, Brannon pushed for a property tax increase of 13 cents - the largest increase among various proposals being considered by Wake Commissioners.
As the News and Observer reported, Republican County Commissioner Herb Council finally agreed to the highest property tax increase proposal on the table - 13 cents.

What will Yevonne try to sell us as Chair of WakeUP Wake County? Hopefully she'll step away from the bar and sober up. But we doubt it.
