Anyone involved with politics of any persuasion in North Carolina knows how both sides utilize the NC budget as a political weapon.
Politicians on both sides of the aisle anxiously await the week before elections to know what type of mail attacking them will arrive in voter mailboxes.
Likewise, Raleigh's Comprehensive Plan has 460 pages of goodies.
Maybe Meeker, Koopman, Stephenson, Baldwin and McFarlane would like to explain this one to irate Raleigh parents.

WILL RODGER KOOPMAN READ THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DRAFT?
Probably not. Who says that? Why Rodger Koopman itself.
"Please telll me where in my week I have time to read through 500 pages of details"
The Comprehensive Plan Draft runs about 460 pages. So much for Koopman taking an active part in reviewing a critical document that Raleigh has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars developing and that will guide growth for years to come.
Actually, it might be a blessing in disguise.
Wake Community wonders, in light of Koopman's statements, if he has even bothered to read the current one.
Wake Community also wonders if Koopman will even show up at the City Council meeting to vote on it.
Koopman best exemplifies a failed Raleigh City Council that has been more agressive at putting horns on homebuilders and garbage disposals and spending millions on plush projects for Fayetteville Street rather than addressing a dramatic upswing in violent crime in Raleigh.

If you liked Raleigh's flawed social engineering garbage disposal policy, then you're gonna love the updated comprehensive plan.
These people screwed up a policy as simple as garbage disposals so badly and they're planning Raleigh for 2030?
Heaven knows what the plan will look like.
One thing is for sure. It'll be used as a political weapon by slow-growth advocates for years to come.

NOT SATISFIED WITH ABRIDGING PROPERTY RIGHTS
City Councilman Rodger Koopman apparently has moved on to loftier goals - stripping people of their FIRST AMENDMENT rights under the United States Constitution.
Koopman, upset that Raleigh residents booed at one point during this week's city council meeting, suggested that "they should be ejected" because they upset his friends at the meeting.
This after Koopman, Meeker, Stephenson, & Co. have for the last several years put horns on Raleigh's homeowner community.
