A lot of movements start off small - with a mission and a group of passionate, committed people.

For 25 years, we've made it possible to fight for the lives of the unborn. Now we've expanded our focus to increase the impact.

We make it possible for people to make good choices about sex and life by providing a safe place where they can talk and get answers and support. A place where someone listens instead of judges.

We may not be able to change the laws about abortion. But we can change hearts and minds - one at a time. With your support we can make abortion unthinkable. How? Find out now.

Join us for this awareness and support event, featuring Dr. Alan Keyes - a prominent pro-life advocate, former UN Ambassador, Presidential and Senatorial candidate and radio/TV personality. Dr. Keyes will share how you can become part of the movement to overcome the barriers to change.

THE ABORTION RIGHTS RALLY THAT WASN'T

On Thursday, January 22, 2009 the abortion rights movement in the Triangle was in full swing - all 15 of them. The picture above represents the entire crowd present for their "rally" at the Capitol.

As a comparison, you can check out the crowd at the January 17, 2009 Right to Life "March" in downtown Raleigh that had over 1000 attendees. I documented the rally so no one could question the crowd versus the crowd above.

Well, the abortion rights "rally" was supposed to be at the Capitol, but apparently the permit situation got messed up with the Capitol grounds so they had to go elsewhere (as one of the abortion supporters told me).

So they positioned themselves at the corner of Fayetteville Street and Morgan Street. Who knows if they had a permit.

The "Reverend" Tom Rhodes of the Unitarian Fellowship was supposed to give a stirring speech on faith and pro-choice ideology. I guess he got tied up eating a vegan lunch or something.

All in all, I guess you could say the abortion rally got aborted.

Bummer.

(Seriously - you folks on the left need to read your Saul Alinsky. Otherwise you would not do such pathetic events.)
