TRANSFER TAXES GO DOWN BUT PROPERTY TAXES HAVE GONE UP

As far as gains and losses, what did we actually accomplish if local government takes money from its citizens in one way rather than another?

WRAL & N&O - YOU'RE NOT SERIOUS ARE YOU?

WRAL's Headline Saturday featured Linda Williams - the Senior Editor for News at the News & Observer.

After the revelations of Linda Williams' highly partisan and biased nature, who in their right mind would put her on a program such as this?

My big question: Shouldn't Linda Williams have been sitting on the side of the table with Skip Stam and more fittingly with Deborah Ross?

Having her presented as some balanced interviewer make a mockery of the whole show.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (Corner of Clark and Brooks Avenues - Raleigh)

Suggested questions:

1. Do you support the Wake County School Board's efforts to raise property taxes by 67%?
2. Do you agree with the Wake County School Board's latest pay increase and contract extension for Superintendent Del Burns?
3. Do you believe the Wake County School Board has been a responsible steward of our county's tax dollars? If no, what would you do differently?
4. How often do you use mass transit? Do you support tax increases on Wake County families and businesses to expand mass transit?

MEMO TO HARVEY SCHMITT

You have your 120th annual meeting this Tuesday at the Convention Center. What a great opportunity for you to stand before all your members and pronounce your proud support and cooperation with the Wake Education Partnership to raise property taxes in Wake County by 67%.

You can explain to them how this will help them "connect, succeed and grow."
